Where did you attend school?

I received my bachelor’s degree from the College of William & Mary, where I double majored in Psychology & Music. In addition, I am currently in the last year of my remote Art Therapy Master's program.

Where do you teach outside of Fairfax Collegiate?

I taught art to middle schoolers at Wayside Charter Schools in Austin, Texas, and I was a long-term Kindergarten substitute at Annandale Terrace Elementary School in FCPS. I also have experience tutoring in several subjects and nannying for several different families.

How long have you been with Fairfax Collegiate?

I started working as an instructor for Fairfax Collegiate when I was in college, in 2018. I primarily taught photography, writing, speech, and debate courses. For the past two summers, I have worked as a Location Director for the Reston and McLean sites.

What excites you about teaching and working with students?

I love when students find ways to incorporate their unique interests and backgrounds into the learning experience! This is where the magic happens.

What are you looking forward to as a location director?

I thoroughly enjoy getting a glimpse of what is being taught in each classroom during the day. Our instructors find creative ways to implement the curriculum, and I find their teaching styles to be very engaging. It is also wonderful to get to know the students each session!

Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?

I like to engage in artistic activities, like magazine collaging, photography, videography, and painting. As a music lover, I spend a lot of time attending concerts as well!
