I'm a student at Chantilly High School, where I am the captain of FTC Robotics and president of the Computer Science Honor Society. I've also earned 2nd place at DECA states and 2nd place at Virginia State Science and Engineering Fair.
What have your teaching opportunities been outside of Fairfax Collegiate?I've taught students at Mathnasium for the past 7 months, and I also volunteered / ran programs at nearby elementary schools with my school's Computer Science Honor Society.
What sort of experience have you had in the subject you’ll be teaching this summer?I've taken all the possible math courses up to Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra. I also take AP Physics 1 and C. I build programming projects all the time, the latest being a Minesweeper Clone that uses an algorithm to autosolve the game.
What excites you about teaching and working with students? What excites me most about teaching is watching a student's confidence grow as they learn, and their energy when it comes to learning makes every interaction engaging and inspires me to keep learning too.
Outside of work, what are some hobbies you enjoy?I love to play basketball, listen to music, and go to the gym.
